This blog intends to debunk the myths surrounding the welfare state. The government is not caring and compassionate. It cannot replace families and community. The welfare state is unsustainable economically, socially and morally.

The poor people who cant afford to buy shares wont be able to afford a radio either

Excerpt;
"So no kiwis, you don't own SOEs - a collective of politicians exercise ownership rights over them, spend the profits arising from them, and collect from you when things are going bad for them."
What the public think at this stage should not be relevant. The election was fought on this issue. the government has a clear mandate.
Homosexual marriage and euthanasia were not in any party's manifesto. Parliament does not have a mandate. These bill should go to a binding referendum if they pass a third reading.
Homosexual marriage and euthanasia are not matters to be decided by any vote Chuck...they are matters of individual rights which stand above any vote.
